Challenge of the Month

Can you beat the second quest to The Legend of Zelda? Have you whupped Chaos in the final battle of Final Fantasy with four White Wizards? Blasted Blaster Master? Saved the Princess blindfolded? Could you beat Mega Man 5 with both hands tied behind your back and both feet amputated?

Big deal.

Anyone can do that kind of stuff. But it takes a true Nintendo master to succeed in the challenges I'll be giving you.

Here's how it works: Each issue, I'll be offering a task for you guys to perform. To submit an entry, simply e-mail me with the save state of the game in question attached. ONLY save states are eligible; PCX pictures are not as they can be doctored. No cheating.

Whoever performs the task first wins, and gets a neat little picture to put on their page. Only one entry per person.

This month's challenge is:

        Game: Tetris (Nintendo)

Challenge: Score 10,000 points.
Sounds simple enough, right? Just rack up 10,000 points in a game of Nintendo's Tetris, and the grand prize is yours. But wait, there's a catch. I don't want you to score over 10,000 points; I want you to score EXACTLY 10,000 points. 10,001 ain't worth diddly. The first to reach exactly 10,000 points and send me their save state will win the first challenge. The deadline for all entries is FRIDAY, JUNE 30. I'll see you then.
